Unleash the Beast

A poem by Lydia Rowlands

Unleash the beast,
Teeth winking, sharp as broken glass.
Gigantic paws pounding earth,
On you in a flash.
Unleash the beast,
Let him roam in all his hairy might.
His sweeping great tornado tail
Floors everything in sight.
Unleash the beast,
See him subdue his foes with sour silence,
‘Cept when he is hungry then
He may resort to violence.
Unleash the beast,
Give in, for you are now his toy
To terrorise and brandish,
For he is a good boy.
